Swimmer's Place


What is the greatest thing about swimming? Could it be that it's considered the best all body workout routine anyone could do? Is it the feel of lightness when you are in the water? Or... is it the competition? Apart from the extensive and excruciating workout a real swimmer receives, it could also be that it's just plain fun!

This sport has been around ever since the dawn of time, ever since Man stumbled upon the Ocean... or a Lake, well at least going back to 2000 B.C. It's been recorded that the first signs of swimming was found in a cave near Southwestern Egypt. Apparently left by cavemen...or cavewomen (for the ladies). Not only has swimming evolved dramatically since then. But today there are certain techniques that we, "Competitive Swimmers," use in order to swim faster.

What is the goal of any swimmer? To be the fastest one there is, simple as that. I'll be covering some great techniques in the near future. Stay tuned!
